And if you want to see what’s inside a box of 1990 Score Hockey cards, be sure to watch our box break video.

1990 Score Hockey Base Set: Player Highlights

The 1990 Score Hockey set features 440 cards, each showcasing players from every team. The design of the cards is simple yet elegant, with a large action shot of the player on the front and a smaller headshot in the corner. The back of the card includes the player’s stats from the previous season and a brief bio.

As you’ll see in our box break video, the set includes many notable players, including Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Mario Lemieux, and Brett Hull. These are some of the biggest names in hockey history, making them highly sought-after by collectors.

1990 Score Hockey Potential Inserts: Canadian Bilingual and American Cards

One of the most desirable inserts in the 1990 Score Hockey set is the “Canadian Bilingual” card. These cards feature both English and French text and were only found in Canadian packs. They’re not especially rare, but they’re a nice addition to any collection.

Xclusive Collectibles also uncovers “American” cards in their box break, which are similar to the Canadian Bilingual cards but feature both English and Spanish text. These cards were only found in American packs, making them a bit more difficult to come by.

1990 Score Hockey Rookies and Traded Cards

The 1990 Score Hockey set includes a subset of “Rookies and Traded” cards, which showcase players who were rookies or who had been traded to a new team since the previous season. These cards can be especially exciting for collectors, as they often feature up-and-coming players or veterans who have recently switched teams.

Some of the notable rookie and start cards from the 1990 Score Hockey set:

Sergei Fedorov – Detroit Red Wings

Owen Nolan – Quebec Nordiques

Mike Modano – Minnesota North Stars

Rob Blake – Los Angeles Kings

Jeremy Roenick – Chicago Blackhawks

Keith Tkachuk – Winnipeg Jets

Jaromir Jagr – Pittsburgh Penguins

These players went on to have impressive NHL careers and their rookie cards from the 1990 Score Hockey set are highly sought after by collectors.
